July 3 to 20, 2013      OMNI Festival at Neumünster Abbey

In the middle of summer the Abbey presents its international open-air music festival OMNI. This event, which takes place on the square of Neumünster Abbey, creates a unique atmosphere with the nocturnal sky as sole witness, so that artists and spectators experience amazing instants of collective emotion.

July 9, 2013      Pre-Conference Welcome Reception at Cercle Cité Luxembourg

The pre-conference welcome reception is open to all participants and is included in the conference fee.

Cercle Cité is a multipurpose site offering a wide range of cultural facilities. The historical Cercle building is situated at Luxembourg City’s main square, Place d’Armes. The real gem lies in some of the finest reception rooms in the city, including the impressive Grande Salle, which has played host to state banquets in honor of Queen Elizabeth II and French president Francois Mitterand, among others.

Situated in the heart of the city and close to some of its finest restaurants, Cercle Cité is ideal for taking in the sights and atmosphere of the Grand Duchy’s capital.

July 11, 2013      Cruise on the River Moselle

Our tour will lead us to the Moselle river. Moselle lends its name to one of the most beautiful valleys of Luxembourg, famous for its wineries, charming hotels, and medieval towns ( A bus will bring you to Remich, a small tourist town situated amidst vineyards on the bank of the river Moselle and an important wine center. Its picturesque corners and old lanes are witnesses of a great historic past. There you will board the “Roude Leiw” for an one hour cruise on the river Moselle. Back in Remich there will be time (1 hour) to take a leisurely walk or enjoy some coffee or ice cream.

In the company of experienced guides you will enjoy walking around the city for about two hours and discovering the most beautiful corners and attractions of the city center, including the picturesque old town that is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers a stunning view of the medieval fortress walls.

July 11, 2013      Conference Dinner at Château de Bourglinster

Please note, that the conference dinner is only open to members and regulars and is included in their conference fee.

Bourglinster castle is a cultural and gastronomical center of international reputation, with musical recitals and artistic presentations.

The castle is situated close to the Mullerthal region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland, a fascinating rocky landscape that is considered the most important tourism area in Luxembourg – in the village of Bourglinster, some 20 minutes from Luxembourg City Center.

There will be a bus transfer from the conference venue Neumünster Abbey to Bourglinster castle. The bus transfer is also included in the conference fee.

A voucher will be handed over to you upon registration on the first day of the conference. you will be asked to show this voucher before boarding the bus.
